Ever since I got a laptop I've had a problem: keeping my files matching with my desktop. I would download, write, & alter files that I wanted on both. The real problem came when I started keeping a to-do list file. I couldn't figure out a good way to get that to work. Through LifeHacker I heard about Dropbox. It works by syncing files through an online backup. That also means my files have an off-site backup.
This program is interesting because you can do a lot with it. I've got a collection of freeware games you can just throw in a directory. You can setup a folder as shared and it will show up on a friends hard drive (if the friend wants). That also means changes to files... such as changes in high scores. 8) Nice...
It has a built in photo gallery which can be either a private share or a public website. If you make it public, you can link it to a blog or e-mail. Loading photos to it is as simple as copying files to a folder. You can send a lot of files all at once.
You get 2 gigs to start, a quarter gig if you know someone, and another quarter for completing the start up guide. So, it's 2.5 free gigs to start with. For documents and a bunch of pictures, that plenty. You can buy more space, but it will be awhile before I need to do that.

February 21, 2010 - Anyone out there?
Been awhile since I was around here, but it seems that way with everyone else too. I doubt anyone will notice this, but is anyone out there still? ^.^;

Ok, I just popped my name back in. I didn't even know things where going to a new domain name. I thought everone was just gone! Someone what to explain to me what happened?
